Virtual Appointment Information

  • Log in early

Please log in 5–10 minutes before your scheduled start time to check that your camera, microphone, and internet connection are working properly. This gives you time to adjust your audio or video settings, make sure you’re visible on screen, and confirm everything is ready before your provider joins.

A few extra minutes help ensure your full appointment time can focus on your care — not troubleshooting technology.

  • Minimize Distractions

Your session is time set aside just for you. To get the most out of it, please be in a stable location and avoid multitasking. That means not driving, walking around, or joining from public places like restaurants or stores.

We ask that you give yourself the same focus and privacy you would in an in-office visit so you can be fully present during your session.

  • Find a Private Space

Choose a quiet, comfortable place where you can speak openly and without interruptions. Therapy works best when you can share freely, so try to minimize background noise and limit access from others nearby.

Headphones can also help if you’re in a shared space. A private, secure environment helps protect your confidentiality and supports a more meaningful conversation.
